The article covers the problem of addictive behavior among adolescents, in particular, tobacco smoking, reveals a specific relation of modern schoolchildren to smokers, tobacco advertising, and the use of the image of a smoker in feature films. Based on the results of the study the need for the cycle of sychological and pedagogical interventions for the prevention of smoking among students is revealed
