Restrictions by Western countries on Russian tourists, rising prices for railroad tickets and airline tickets have intensified demand for independent road trips. The growing number of road tourists has attracted additional attention of the authorities to the issues of accessibility of the country’s roadside infrastructure, including gas stations. The importance of creating comfortable and safe conditions for car travel around the country, including in promising regions, has increased. The Vologda Region, with its natural and cultural tourist potential, is a promising region for the development of motor tourism. In this regard, the aim of the study is to analyze the transport accessibility of the Vologda Region roadside infrastructure for motor tourists. In the course of the work, we applied general scientific research methods such as analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, as well as geoinformation modeling in the QGIS software environment. On the basis of the developed methodological approach that allows estimating time costs between gas stations, we identified road sections with a lack of transport infrastructure facilities, and proposed promising options for additional location of such facilities. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the development of a methodological approach to determining the transport accessibility of objects of tourist interest, including roadside infrastructure, taking into account temporal and spatial characteristics. The information base is formed by the works of Russian and foreign scientists dealing with the problems of transport accessibility of roadside and tourist infrastructure objects, official statistical data, the results of sociological surveys. The findings are of practical relevance, allowing the identification of road sections with poor infrastructure, the transformation of which would improve road safety and travel comfort. This will help to increase the demand for tourist products of the Vologda Region. The research results can be taken into account by the authorities in the design and modernization of transport, roadside and tourist infrastructure facilities
