The world and Russian scientific literature have already accumulated a significant arsenal of the research results on the development of territorial economic ecosystems. However, the problem of public governance of the development of the territory’s ecosystem has not been finally resolved. The problem of unifying the methods of public governance of such an ecosystem is topical. The aim of the research is to systematize the methods of public governance of the development of the territory’s ecosystem. We group them according to the management spheres: social, technological, economic and political. The work shows that the practical application of methods of public governance of ecosystem development is reflected in a variety of regions of both developed and developing countries. The scientific novelty of the results obtained consists in the systematization of public governance methods of the development of the territory’s ecosystem, supplementing the methodological foundations of regulation of regions’ livelihood. We show the practical application of public governance of the Tyumen Oblast ecosystem development on the basis of mapping of the region’s industries and activity areas. In this case, publicity of governance consists in public discussion of the results of forecasting the development of ecosystem areas until 2030. Public discussion includes both expert assessments in the form of focus groups and targeted surveys, as well as the submission of predictive assessments for discussion in the public chambers of cities and region. The theoretical significance of the results is in the formation of a system of public governance methods of the development of the territory’s ecosystem supplementing the methodology of regulation of regions’ livelihood; the practical significance consists in developing a methodological framework for strategic planning of the development of territories’ ecosystems
