The article deals with the organization of the information space in the Institute of Socio-Economic Development of RAS (ISEDT RAS). It focuses on the role of Internet resources in the development of information environment of a research institution. It describes the organizational features of information space in the research institution according to the integration into the global information space. A model of the information environment for ISEDT RAS in accordance with the modern trends and effects of Internet culture is proposed. The results of the institution’s information space analysis made with modern web analytics tools are presented in the final part of the article
