STP ACCELERATION IS A STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE OF AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE REGION

The article provides a description of some aspects of technical and technological state of the Vologda Region’s agriculture. The role of scientifi c and technological progress in improving the effi ciency of agricultural enterprises in the region is shown. On the basis of economic and mathematical model the amount of investment needed to ensure the growth of agricultural production by 2013 is calculated. The main provisions of the Strategy of the region’s agricultural sector development to accelerate the technical and technological modernization of agriculture are presented
